Canary Wharf | Permanent | 4 days per week | Hybrid
Our client, a well-established charity based in Canary Wharf, is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis. Working four days per week, with two days in the office and two days from home, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive organisation and play an important role within its finance function.
You will support the day-to-day running of the accounts function, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and on time, while maintaining strong financial controls and accurate records.
Key responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices
- Manage supplier invoices, staff expenses and payment requests
- Monitor outstanding balances and support credit control
- Complete bank and supplier reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Support month-end processes, including journals and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and clear audit trails
- Respond to queries from internal teams and external suppliers
- Provide general support to the wider finance team
About you:
- At least 2 years' relevant accounts experience
- Good understanding of accounts payable, receivable and reconciliations
- Experience using Xero and strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Well organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder skills
- Proactive, positive and keen to contribute as part of a team
