Rate: £30–£35 per hour

What You’ll Lead
- Full ownership of end-to-end payroll across monthly and weekly cycles for 1,250 employees.
- Delivery of accurate, compliant payroll with strong controls and audit readiness.
- System and process improvements – streamline workflows, enhance automation, and modernise reporting.
- Management of benefits programmes including pensions, healthcare, leave, and reward schemes.
- Reward strategy support including benchmarking, compensation reviews, and policy updates.
- Vendor and stakeholder management across payroll providers and HR teams.
- Leadership of a small team, setting standards for accuracy, pace, and service excellence.
What You Bring
- Strong leadership experience across UK payroll, benefits, and reward.
- Proven success delivering system upgrades, process redesign, or automation.
- Deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Comfortable working hybrid from Leatherhead.
