Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing business based in Epsom for an experienced Finance Manager.

This is a hands on leadership role, ideal for a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, working autonomously, and supporting the wider business. You'll be responsible for overseeing the finance function while acting as a trusted business partner across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily cash flow management, including client and insurer bank account reconciliations.

- Manage client account transactions, including insurer payments, refunds, and credit card or chargeback queries.

- Process invoices for payment, ensure approval procedures are followed, and liaise with suppliers regarding discrepancies.

- Scan and send insurer payment advices and update relevant teams on payments.

- Order and manage office supplies as needed, including stationery, toner, and bottled water.

- Prepare payroll schedules, upload payslips, and update the Lloyds salary template.

- Manage pension schedules and liaise with external providers for submissions and approvals.

- Prepare detailed monthly management accounts, including P&L, departmental P&L, and EBITDA schedules.

- Provide senior management with monthly financial reports, ensuring data is clear and actionable.

- Compile aggregate trial balances for Personal and Commercial insurance lines and extract key journal entries for client income and balance sheet reconciliation.

- Reconcile client and office bank statements.

- Manage insurer payment schedules, ensuring they align with internal client banking records and insurer payment summaries.

- Post journal entries, including client receipts, office invoices, and credit card transactions.

- Prepare prepayment and salary deduction schedules.

About You

  • Ideally qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance position.
  • Experience preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
  • Confident managing audits and dealing with external stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where no two days are the same.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with colleagues, customers and senior stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercially aware with a practical, problem-solving approach.
