Project Manager - Refurb & Fit-Out
Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of mechanical building-services projects from mobilisation through installation, commissioning, handover and defects close-out. This is a hands-on role requiring strong project controls, technical understanding and confident leadership of site teams and supply-chain partners.
Key Duties
- Take overall responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring delivery to programme, quality, safety and agreed scope.
- Develop and manage project programmes
- Lead project mobilisation and coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
- Manage technical information, RFIs, submittals, inspections, testing, commissioning, handover and project records.
- Monitor progress, risks, changes and delays, providing clear reporting and taking action to keep projects on track.
Experience Needed
- Proven experience managing mechanical building-services projects, ideally within commercial fit-out, refurbishment or a similar contracting environment.
- Experience delivering projects through installation, testing, commissioning, handover and defects close-out.
- Strong understanding of project planning, procurement, technical coordination and multidisciplinary site delivery.
- Experience leading Project Engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, with confidence in client, consultant and main-contractor meetings.
- Relevant mechanical/building-services or construction experience, with CSCS and SMSTS (or equivalent); proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital project-management systems is expected.
