We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in façade cladding and building envelope packages to join a reputable subcontractor delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects. This is an immediate start, long-term freelance opportunity, taking full commercial responsibility for a new residential scheme in central Manchester.
The Role
- Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the full commercial management of a live residential project.
- Full QS responsibility for façade and building envelope packages.
- Managing valuations, variations, cost reporting, and final accounts.
- Liaising with design teams, Tier 1 contractors, and subcontractors.
- Supporting procurement and commercial negotiations.
- Working closely with site teams and operations to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensuring commercial compliance and project profitability.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within façades and building envelope subcontracting.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven cost management and negotiation skills.
- Good working knowledge of construction contracts.
- Proven track record working with reputable subcontractors.
- Available for an immediate start.
