The predicted salary is between 26500 - 27500 £ per year.

This role is 24 hours per week, working in Marlborough and Pewsey sites.

Working Hours:

  • Monday: 13:00 - 19:00
  • Tuesday: 13:00 - 19:00
  • Thursday: 13:00 - 19:00
  • Friday: OFF

Pay is £12.71 initially, rising on successful completion of the 3 month probationary period.

Any appointment to the Practice is subject to the practice receiving satisfactory checks from the Disclosure and Barring Service concerning any former criminal convictions. Employment with the Practice is not subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The main role of our team of Patient Navigators, formerly called Receptionists, is to welcome patients, understand their medical needs and help them to access the most appropriate service. This could be any one of the wide range of KAMP clinicians from physiotherapist to social prescriber to GP, or an external provider such as urgent eyecare service or pharmacist to name but a few. They also provide general support to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. Patient Navigators also take a leading role in educating patients about how to best use the services on offer to them.

Main duties of the job:

We are currently recruiting for a Patient Navigator to work 24 hours in our friendly team to provide an effective and efficient service to all patients and visitors to the practice both in person and via the telephone. Excellent communication skills and accuracy are essential. Experience of working within General Practice and with SystmOne would be desirable.

Qualifications:
  • Good standard of general education GCSE Maths grade A-C
Experience:
  • Experience of using own initiative
  • Experience of working with the general public
  • Experience of reception work / working in a customer service environment
  • Experience of working within General Practice
