Overview

Kennedys is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join their Casualty & Property Claims Handling team. The role involves managing pre-litigated claims from the initial notification of loss, offering a bespoke cradle-to-grave claims handling service through to litigation. The role will involve handling a varied case load of liability claims (personal injury and property damage) and first-party property claims of unlimited value for insurers, MGAs, Syndicates and self-retained policyholders, primarily in the London market.

We act on complex and high-profile cases, led by experienced Partners recognized as market leaders in this sector. We are often instructed on UK cases requiring cross-border quantum investigations via our international offices. We avoid unnecessary lawyering and are focused on working in partnership with our clients and delivering modern solutions, including our in-house R&D capability and award-winning product suite of technological and process innovations.

Cases

  • Third party personal injury and property damage and first party property claims handling across various industry sectors including social care, leisure, construction and retail, in the UK, Republic of Ireland and internationally.

Required experience

  • 5+ years\’ experience of defendant personal injury and property claims working either in a legal or an insurance environment.
  • Track record of capably handling a caseload of pre-litigated fast-track and multi-track value liability and property (ideally EL/PL and medical malpractice) type claims.
