Kennedys is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to manage cases involving suspected fraudulent motor claims. You'll play a key role in supporting the defence of suspected fraudulent motor insurance claims. The role involves investigating claim circumstances, reviewing evidence such as accident reports, policy documents, and surveillance material, and assisting in preparing cases for litigation.

You'll work closely with solicitors to draft correspondence, liaise with clients, insurers, and third parties, and help progress files efficiently through the litigation process. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify inconsistencies within claims, contributing to the wider effort to combat insurance fraud and achieve positive outcomes for clients.

This role primarily focuses on fraudulent motor claims but may also encompass property, travel, and first-party fraud claims. As a Litigation Assistant in this position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into suspected fraudulent activities, gathering and analysing evidence, and preparing detailed reports. You will work closely with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively.

Your role will also involve collaborating with legal and forensic experts to build strong cases and participating in court proceedings when necessary. Team Kennedys' Fraud Team specialises in advising on cross-client organised and complex fraud investigations. The team's work encompasses managing and coordinating litigation, developing investigation strategies, and safeguarding individual client interests.

They collaborate closely with industry bodies such as the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB), regulators, and the police to ensure comprehensive and effective fraud management.

  • Clients: Large composite Insurers, London Market Insurers, Self-insured companies, EL/PL and motor insurers, Corporates, Transport operators and contractors.
  • Cases: Suspected fraudulent claims and handling all aspects of EL/PL/OL claims. Both pre-litigation and litigated files.

Required experience: 2+ years' UK fraud experience, Litigation experience of personal injury fast-track and multi-track claims within counter fraud, Experience in Motor, EL/PL/OL claims.
