Kennedys Finance team supports the Firm globally by producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal and external clients. The Budgeting & Forecasting team is responsible for driving the firm's planning and forecasting cycles, managing headcount and revenue models, enhancing financial systems, and delivering commercial insight to support decision-making.

The Finance Business Partner – Business Services role will support the continued evolution of the Finance function into a stronger business partnering model, with a focus on operational forecasting, OPEX management, headcount tracking, and strategic support for Business Services departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for assigned Business Services departments.
  • Work closely with Business Services Chiefs to develop accurate OPEX and headcount forecasts.
  • Track departmental spend throughout the year, identifying risks, trends and forecast variances.
  • Support recruitment and workforce planning discussions through headcount and salary analysis.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide commercial insight to improve forecast accuracy and accountability.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and commentary using Workday and Office Connect.
  • Support development and maintenance of forecasting and reporting models within Workday.
  • Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Provide insight across both accrual-based forecasts and operational cash spend movements, ensuring accurate visibility of departmental financial performance.
  • Support the continued development of quarterly forecasting processes and planning governance.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support to CFO, COO and senior finance leadership when required.
Required Experience
  • Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis support.
  • Prior experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting or finance business partnering.
  • Strong commercial understanding and ability to interpret financial data in an operational context.
  • Experience supporting operational stakeholders and non-finance leaders.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience with planning and reporting systems such as Workday Adaptive Planning is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work across different functions and regions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience within professional services or partnership environments is advantageous.
