Kennedys is seeking a talented Associate and Senior Associate to handle complex liability and injury matters, primarily within employers' and public liability. The successful candidate will assist our highly regarded Partner – Joy Middleton who works between our Chelmsford and London offices. You will be required to work on a variety of claims providing high-level assistance on intermediate, multi-track and Catastrophic Injury claims. A working knowledge of coverage is desirable.
Our national practice handles personal injury claims from seven offices across the UK. The team is a leading force in the local market, ranked top-tier for defendant personal injury by legal directories. We manage complex and high-profile cases, led by experienced Partners recognised as market leaders. Our team frequently handles UK cases requiring cross-border quantum investigations through our international offices. We prioritise practical solutions over unnecessary lawyering, working in partnership with our clients to deliver modern, innovative solutions.
Clients include:
- EL/PL and motor insurers
- Construction companies
- Animals Act claims
- Transport
- Leisure and retail industries
Cases involve:
- Mixed value, non-volume, multi-track and large loss
- EL/PL/Motor
- SME insureds and multinational corporates
- Product liability
- Equine
- Both pre-litigation and litigated files
Required experience includes:
- NQ UK Qualified Solicitor with relevant experience
- Senior Qualified Solicitor from 5+ PQE
- Litigation experience, including multi-track defence work
- Basic policy coverage knowledge
