Kennedys is looking for a Senior Knowledge Lawyer to join our Knowledge Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a growing, global law firm. Flexible on location within the UK.
Key responsibilities
- Acts as a senior member of the team driving the development of the Knowledge Management strategy in the context of firmwide objectives.
- Supports the Chief Knowledge Officer in the delivery of a global Knowledge Management offering.
- Drafting, reviewing and maintaining precedents, models documents, templates, forms, checklists, and other know-how and knowledge assets.
- Overseeing the delivery of legal training, webinars and podcasts for our lawyers and our clients.
- Direct liaison with clients to deliver legal learning and content solutions.
- Coordinating practice group specific Knowledge team projects to meet identified needs.
Required experience
- An evident passion for knowledge management and technology.
- An experienced (around 8 years PQE) lawyer (either a Knowledge Lawyer or PSL, or someone who is currently fee‑earning and looking to step into a knowledge and innovation role) and expertise in insurance law and litigation is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication, written and presentation skills, with strong analytical, research, and drafting skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and concisely.
- Ability to build and develop relationships at all levels of the organization, including at a partnership level.
- Ability to operate with credibility at a partnership level with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to instil confidence in the team and business community in capabilities and work product.
- Motivated self‑starter, with a proven ability to demonstrate proactivity and use of initiative.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables within a tight timeframe.
- Understanding and experience of working within legal teams to best support them to deliver and meet client needs.
