Kennedys is actively seeking an Associate to join their Birmingham, Sheffield or office, specialising in private insured clinical negligence claims. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly respected division recognised by Chambers and Legal 500 as a top‑tier firm for defendant clinical negligence.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex clinical negligence cases, demonstrating a strong understanding of medical malpractice claims and the ability to manage high‑stakes, sensitive, and high‑profile matters with meticulous attention to detail and a compassionate approach.
Team
The Healthcare division provides comprehensive legal services to NHS entities, medical malpractice insurers and private hospitals. It advises on medical insurance coverage, health law and regulatory matters, and represents clients at inquests and judicial reviews across key locations.

Cases
A wide range of clinical negligence claims.
Required experience
3+ years UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with relevant experience.
Previous claims experience.
Previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
