Kennedys is looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join their Financial Systems team in London. In addition to the continued development, maintenance and support of the firm's existing suite of Financial Systems, the role will also involve some exciting transformational projects as the Firm continues its Finance Transformation programme. The role will suit a technology forward, self-starter with a good understanding of legal, financial operations, with innovative ideas for process improvements and automation. This is a hybrid role which supports flexible working and is based out of our London office.

Team Kennedys' Finance team support the Firm globally in producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions, operational and technical support to maintain high standards of services offered to the Firm's internal and external clients. The Finance team is made up of Financial Systems, Financial Control, Financial Planning and Reporting, Management Accountants, Credit Control, Legal Cashiers and Billers and Financial Operations Database teams. Our UK Finance team is based in Chelmsford and London.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the project team to implement new financial systems, upgrades and changes to existing systems.
  • Working with relevant stakeholders to define and implement enhancements and rollout of Chrome River globally.
  • Perform prototyping in support of requirements definition or functional/technical design questions.
  • Identify/resolve issues during test cycles and post project go-live support.
  • Contribute to the development of functional specifications from a technical design perspective.
  • Assist in the Firm's continuing PMS migration projects to ensure all new Kennedys global offices operate on the global PMS (Elite 3E).
  • Assist in the production of financial systems procedures, development specifications, test plans and training guides.
  • Test application upgrades, check functionality and test new and future functionality in line with test plans. Document test results and assist other testers in the same.

Required experience:

  • Experience with a leading finance system in a global law firm with a bias towards legal cashiering.
  • A sound working knowledge of Chrome River Expense and PO/Invoices including setups, rule sheets and integrations.
  • A solid understanding of general legal finance and accounting principles.
  • Aptitude for business process improvement.
  • Experience as a subject matter expert on a system implementation.
  • Experience working collaboratively across the different teams both Finance and non-Finance to help deliver high quality solutions that meet business needs and implement best practices across the board (advantageous).
  • Experience of providing support and training to Finance and non-Finance staff (advantageous).
