About the role
We are looking for a defendant personal injury solicitor in our Belfast office with Motor, EL/PL, and industrial disease experience to join our growing team.
Scope of work
The team advises on a broad range of defendant product liability, EL/PL/Motor, clinical, marine, catastrophic, reinsurance, and professional negligence for a variety of national and international insurers.
Responsibilities
- Defend insurers on a full range of claims and advise on coverage issues arising in personal injury matters.
- Provide coverage and claims defence to both international and domestic insurers and their insureds.
- Advise on professional liability, financial institutions' liability, directors & officers liability.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ Northern Irish qualified lawyer with Insurance law experience.
- Proactive and able to take initiative.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage own time, excellent organisational skills.
- Strong technical and research skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload of low to medium value claims and work with senior solicitors on high value claims.
