A well-established Tax Consultancy is seeking a UK/US Tax Director (Private Clients) to join their London based team. The UK/US Tax Director would take ownership of a portfolio of approximately 130 UK and 160 US returns. The ideal candidate will be passionate about UK/US tax and enjoy sharing knowledge with colleagues to ensure team development, as well as best service for the client base.

Comfortable discussing UK/US tax interactions broadly as a strong advisory element handling ad hoc client questions, cross-border planning points, and day-to-day client conversations around changes in circumstances. Managing a dual handling team, including training, study support, well-being and general team management. The UK/US Tax Director would lead the onboarding of clients, scoping/pricing work, delegating to the team, and final review/sign off on returns. Client base is primarily individuals and mainly US persons living in the UK. Typically, these are employees, retirees and individuals with investment income.

Requirements for the UK/US Tax Director include:

  • Tax qualification, CTA, ACA, EA
  • Comfortable signing off US UK tax returns
