One of the world’s most prestigious global investment managers has an opening for a qualified accountant in their growing finance team. Based in London and working closely with your US counterparts, you will need to be a technically strong, well-rounded accountant who will be responsible for accurate and timely management accounting as well as more commercially focused duties. You will also gain exposure to senior stakeholders and be tasked with helping mentor junior members of the team.
This autonomous and rewarding role will be an excellent career move based in high-end west central London offices where you will only need to go 3 days a week on a hybrid working pattern. The business has a very competitive package and benefits on offer.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and lead month-end close for assigned entities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for decision-making
- Prepare quarterly board packs and regulatory returns
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors
- Analyse financial data to provide commercial insights and recommendations
- Partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
- Drive process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and finance system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
What we are looking for
- ACA-qualified with 1–2 years’ PQE, ideally audit trained within financial services
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
- Excellent Excel and system skills
- Commercially minded, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
