A leading private equity business is looking to bring on a senior financial accountant to join their team here in London. With specialist expertise in private equity, infrastructure, private credit, and sustainable investing, the firm has a team of over 250 professionals operating from offices across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the end-to-end monthly close and financial reporting process for a core UK entity, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
- Act as the primary point of contact for year-end statutory accounts and external audit processes, including preparation of accounts and audit deliverables, and coordination with auditors.
- Support tax and regulatory compliance activities, including VAT, corporate tax processes, and statutory reporting obligations.
- Contribute to a range of strategic finance initiatives and transformation projects, helping to improve systems, processes, and controls across the finance function.
- Provide support to international finance activities as required.
Must haves
- Qualification ACA/ACCA or equivalent with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience and a strong background in similar finance roles (professional or financial services experience is a plus).
- Degree educated or equivalent through professional experience.
- Confident in leading external audits from planning through to final sign-off.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial models and large datasets.
- A collaborative mindset, high integrity, and a positive, can-do approach.
- Able to stay calm under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
- A clear, confident communicator who builds strong working relationships.
