Our client, a Private Equity and Real Estate Investment firm, is seeking a Property Accountant. The role sits in a multinational Property Investment business and works as part of a team that has responsibility for valuation of real estate funds, fund accounting, financial reporting and VAT.
Responsibilities
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual fund financial reporting
- Become subject matter expert on fund financial reporting
- Perform analytical reviews of accounting records, ensuring controls and procedures are followed and managing the resolution of complex issues
- Work collaboratively with outsourced service providers
- Complete and review VAT and property tax returns
- Complete and review property performance reporting extracts
- Production of transaction cost reporting
- Work on process review and enhancement projects
- Maintain detailed knowledge of platform, processes and system
- Work with the manager, staff and peers to share best practice, enhance operational effectiveness and create awareness of issues throughout the department
Experience / Qualifications
This is a technical role and suitable for you if you have IFRS and/or UK GAAP experience from a Property/Real Estate business. The manager is keen for you to take ownership of tasks and be organised to work to tight deadlines. A positive and proactive approach is a must.
