We are working with a well-established organisation that is looking to appoint a Credit Control Supervisor to join its Finance team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller who is ready to take the next step, with responsibility for supporting and mentoring a team while acting as a key escalation point for more complex customer queries and outstanding debt.
The Role
Reporting into the Credit Control Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining a strong debtor position and ensuring payments are collected in line with agreed credit terms and team KPIs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting, mentoring and providing guidance to members of the Credit Control team
- Acting as a first point of escalation for complex queries and late-paying customers
- Monitoring the overall group debtor position
- Producing progress and debtor reports for month-end reporting
- Supporting the Credit Control Manager in delivering team objectives and KPIs
- Assisting with the allocation of receipts and reconciliation of customer accounts
- Handling sensitive customer queries and enquiries professionally
- Liaising with management regarding the withdrawal of services/facilities where accounts remain unpaid
- Building strong working relationships with Sales and Sales Administration teams
- Contributing to process improvements, initiatives and wider Finance projects
About You
We are looking for someone with previous experience within credit control / accounts receivable, ideally with some experience of supporting or mentoring colleagues.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience dealing with customers and corporate clients
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Good numerical and reconciliation skills
