TV/Film Production Company seeks an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role would suit a "hands on" individual who is able to multi-task and prioritise their workload. The Assistant Accountant would be diligent, a strong communicator and problem solver. This position would suit candidates who are immediately available or on a 1 week notice as December 2025 start.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include:
- Processing monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assisting with the process of monthly financial reporting which includes profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow.
- Assisting with Statutory audit.
- Assisting with preparation of P11Ds.
- Performing reconciliations to seek resolution to accounting errors or inaccuracies.
- Processing purchase invoices and sales invoices and responsibility over AP and AR ledgers.
- Processing credit card transactions and employee expense claims.
- Processing bank payments and receipts, preparing bank reconciliation.
- Processing intercompany recharges.
- Payments to suppliers.
- Completing VAT returns.
- Assisting Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks.
Requirements for the Assistant Accountant include:
- AAT or equivalent qualification.
- Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office - especially Excel.
- Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.
- Media/production sector experience is advantageous however not essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Hybrid working.
