TV/Film Production Company seeks an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role would suit a "hands on" individual who is able to multi-task and prioritise their workload. The Assistant Accountant would be diligent, a strong communicator and problem solver. This position would suit candidates who are immediately available or on a 1 week notice as December 2025 start.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include:

  • Processing monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Assisting with the process of monthly financial reporting which includes profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow.
  • Assisting with Statutory audit.
  • Assisting with preparation of P11Ds.
  • Performing reconciliations to seek resolution to accounting errors or inaccuracies.
  • Processing purchase invoices and sales invoices and responsibility over AP and AR ledgers.
  • Processing credit card transactions and employee expense claims.
  • Processing bank payments and receipts, preparing bank reconciliation.
  • Processing intercompany recharges.
  • Payments to suppliers.
  • Completing VAT returns.
  • Assisting Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks.

Requirements for the Assistant Accountant include:

  • AAT or equivalent qualification.
  • Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office - especially Excel.
  • Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.
  • Media/production sector experience is advantageous however not essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hybrid working.
