Kennedy Pearce are partnered with a leading international bank to hire an Infrastructure Engineer for their London technology function. This role is a key position within the bank’s IT Operations team, responsible for the delivery, stability, and ongoing improvement of cloud and infrastructure services. The Infrastructure Engineer will work across Azure cloud, core infrastructure, security, change, and service enhancement, ensuring the bank’s technology environment is aligned to UK best practice and the organisation’s wider global standards.
The Infrastructure Engineer will support, maintain, and enhance IT services across both cloud and on-premise environments. You will design and deliver infrastructure solutions, manage 2nd/3rd line support, contribute to cloud migration strategies, and work with third-party partners to ensure systems remain secure, compliant, resilient, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure
- Support cloud migration activities and operational enhancements
- Deliver 2nd/3rd-line support and work with external suppliers
- Implement and support IT infrastructure solutions across Windows Server, AD, networking, and storage
- Monitor and optimise cloud and infrastructure performance
- Manage vulnerabilities, endpoints, and remediation activity within SLA
- Provide technical input at CAB meetings and support change execution
- Maintain documentation, standards, and contribute to DR planning
- Work with senior IT leadership on new platform design and improvements
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, monitoring)
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP
- Endpoint management (Intune/Defender) and vulnerability management
- PowerShell for automation
- Virtualisation (Hyper-V or VMware)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
