As Group Financial Controller, you will have full ownership of the Group’s financial accounting and control framework, lead global audits, oversee treasury and liquidity, and ensure robust regulatory and client asset compliance. You will also lead and develop a multi-country finance team and act as a key partner to senior management.
Own all aspects of Group financial accounting, reporting and control. Ensure balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and substantiation. Lead Group statutory and CASS audits and preparation of financial statements. Oversee management reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Deliver insightful variance analysis and drive continuous improvement in reporting quality. Maintain strong cost control, including AP and AR oversight.
Treasury & Liquidity
Full accountability for daily treasury and cash management. Monitor liquidity, cashflow and daily treasury reporting. Oversee margin movements, client withdrawals, client money transfers and supplier payments. Monitor and report FX exposure. Own net interest income as a key revenue stream.
Tax & Group Structure
Overall responsibility for UK tax compliance (CT, VAT, PAYE, etc.). Oversight of tax matters for US and Hong Kong subsidiaries. Manage external advisers and own Group transfer pricing policies.
Regulatory & Client Assets
Oversee daily client money reconciliations and CASS compliance. Ensure timely and accurate regulatory and prudential reporting. Partner with senior stakeholders on ICARA, wind-down planning and regulatory frameworks.
Leadership
Lead a finance team of c.15 across four countries. Act as a change agent, driving automation, stronger controls and process improvement. Recruit, develop and retain high-performing teams. Ensure effective resource planning and global operational coverage. Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent). Significant experience in financial control within a regulated financial services environment. Strong knowledge of treasury, liquidity management and client assets/CASS. Proven leader of international teams. Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable operating in a fast-moving business. Confident engaging with auditors, regulators and senior stakeholders.
