A UK-based international financial services group is looking to hire a Group Financial Controller for the central group finance team. This newly created no2 role covers statutory reporting, financial control, audit oversight and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will lead a small team and oversee the work of regional reporting individuals and deputise for the Group FC and subsequently have senior stakeholder exposure up to the CFO and board level. Key responsibilities:
- Lead statutory and consolidated reporting across international entities
- Manage financial controls, governance and regulatory compliance processes
- Oversee external audits, tax coordination and regulatory reporting
- Prepare board and committee reporting with financial analysis and commentary
- Support budgeting, forecasting and wider finance initiatives
- Manage and develop a finance team across key deliverables and reporting deadlines
- Drive process improvements across reporting, controls and finance operations
- Partner with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA qualified with relevant 8+ years post-qualified experience
- Background within financial services or another regulated environment desirable
- Strong technical accounting and group consolidation experience
- Experience working within international or multi-entity structures
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
