Financial Controller West London | Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office | c.£90,000 + bonus A global technology and software business is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to join its EMEA finance team following the recent resignation of a key member of the team.
This is a hands-on Financial Controller role within a complex, international technology organisation, offering broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, statutory accounting, tax, cashflow and business partnering.
The business is looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
With limited handover available, you'll need to be comfortable taking ownership quickly, working at pace and operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Reporting to the Regional EMEA Financial Controller, this would suit a qualified accountant with around 5 years' post-qualified experience, ideally gained within a larger organisation where you've had broad responsibility for a subsidiary, division or group of entities.
The Role
- Take ownership of month-end, half-year and year-end reporting across multiple EMEA entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Manage day-to-day general ledger activities, including journals, reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Oversee statutory reporting and act as a key contact throughout the external audit process.
- Manage reporting across multiple entities and currencies, including intercompany accounting and FX movements.
- Lead entity-level budgeting and forecasting, providing meaningful commentary on key drivers, trends and risks.
- Maintain and strengthen the financial control environment and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Support cashflow and liquidity management across multiple entities.
- Oversee VAT, corporate tax provisions and wider tax compliance requirements.
- Partner with regional and local stakeholders, providing financial insight to support commercial decision-making.
