Are you an experienced and dedicated Planning professional with a keen interest in the Housing market or land regeneration? If so, read on, as we may have just the role for you.
Your Duties:
- To support the Social Housing Development Programme by identifying and supporting schemes in areas of need.
- To undertake land asset activity, with an emphasis on evaluation, broader estate studies, support for housing transfer schemes and related planning applications.
- To assist in housing-led regeneration and provide a local enabling role to support delivery of new housing developments.
- To undertake site identification studies and feasibility studies.
- To provide town planning advice to the organisation.
- To complete housing market analysis and housing need statements.
- To ensure the annual production of housing investment plans.
- To communicate with local stakeholders to ensure holistic delivery of housing regeneration programmes.
- To assist local councils in the delivery of effective community-led sustainable neighbourhood building.
- To effectively work within a highly motivated, skilled team.
- To ensure compliance with policies and procedures to provide governance and assurance within the department.
- To produce regular reports and briefings on the activities of the department.
Your Profile:
Essential:
- Hold an RTPI accredited planning qualification, or an equivalent.
- Demonstrate relevant experience of working in a planning/regeneration environment (One year minimum).
- Planning related Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Possess a full current UK driving licence or have access to a form of transport that will meet the requirements of the post in full.
Desirable:
- Candidates should ideally be members of the RTPI (or of an equivalent) or in the process of developing relevant experience towards membership of the RTPI, IPI RICS.
