A leading international organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its UK Finance function.
This is a key role responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting statutory compliance, strengthening financial controls, and providing insight into business performance.
The successful candidate will be a technically capable accountant with strong financial reporting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, multinational environment.
The role will involve close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, with a focus on maintaining high standards of financial governance and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the preparation of monthly financial reporting submissions, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and delivered in line with Group requirements and deadlines.
- Produce statutory accounts for UK entities, ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and relevant UK accounting regulations.
- Manage the annual audit process from planning through to completion, acting as the key finance contact for external auditors and supporting the resolution of technical accounting queries.
- Maintain the integrity of financial systems, including ERP finance data, reporting structures, and master data controls.
- Review and analyse financial results, including balance sheet and P&L performance, identifying key movements, trends, and areas requiring further investigation.
- Support improvements to accounting processes, reporting procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Partner with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to ensure accurate reporting and effective financial decision support.
- Candidate Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting capability.
- Demonstrable experience in a financial accounting role within a large, international, or multi-entity organisation.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and working with UK accounting standards, particularly FRS 102.
- Strong background managing external audit processes and communicating technical accounting matters with auditors.
- Experience using SAP or another large-scale ERP system; knowledge of finance systems governance and controls would be beneficial.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse complex financial information.
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver accurate outputs within challenging deadlines.
