A well-established organisation based in Norwich is looking to appoint a Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a newly created role due to continued growth and offers an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to step into a No.2 position within a regional finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be part of a team of five and play a key role in providing financial insight, supporting decision-making, and contributing to the overall performance of the business. The role also offers clear future progression opportunities to Finance Manager / Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and forecasts
- Variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods, with clear and concise commentary
- Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Providing cost analysis and commercial insight to the management team
- Supporting and providing cover for Finance Assistants where required
- Reviewing and improving reporting and finance processes to maximise efficiency
- Assisting with any other accounting duties as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) and actively studying
- Previous experience within a finance or management accounting role
- Experience within manufacturing, construction, or a similar heavy industry would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong Excel skills and high level of computer literacy
- Commercially aware with strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience using COINS accounting software would be beneficial
