- Part Time
Assistant Accountant to join the business on 6 months + contract.
This role would suit a candidate who has previously worked within the production/media sector.
With prior exposure to production accounting.
This role would suit a "hands on" individual is able to multitask and prioritise their workload. The
Assistant Accountant would be diligent, a strong communicator and able to work on their own initiative. The role would suit candidates who is immediately available to commence employment
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant include
- Processing monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assisting with preparation of P11Ds
- Performing reconciliations to seek resolution to accounting errors or inaccuracies
- Assisting with production accounting
- Processing purchase invoices and sales invoices and responsibility over AP/AR ledgers
- Processing credit cards transactions and employee expense claims
- Processing bank payments and receipts, preparing bank reconciliation.
- Processing intercompany recharges
- Payments to suppliers
- Completing VAT returns
- Assisting Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks
Requirements for the Assistant Accountant include
- Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office- especially Excel
- Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.
- Media/production sector experience is advantageous however not essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
