Working for this leading global commodity trading firm based in the City of London, who offer hybrid working and excellent benefits, as a Credit Analyst you will be responsible for conducting, developing and improving the credit risk management function of the firm.

The successful candidate will have proven experience across physical and derivatives commodities trading and financing focusing on precious and base metals, energy and bulk commodities. Understanding of market risk would be highly beneficial but not essential.

Job Function:

  • Generating and managing credit risk applications for new and existing credit clients and internal credit risk rating procedure.
  • Monitoring the firm's credit risk exposure on counterparties and providing analytical expertise to support day-to-day operations of the front desk.
  • Developing relationships with the risk management departments of counterparties and ongoing diligence and monitoring of their credit status.
  • Maintaining and improving internal controls and operations regarding risk management.
  • Supporting business development initiated by the front desk through due diligence calls and occasional in-person visits.
  • Development and monitoring of market risks associated with different commodities traded (preferred).
