A growing and established manufacturing business based in Kent is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their commercial finance skills within a fast-paced operational environment.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting decision-making, and providing valuable insight into business performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insight and commentary to support business performance discussions.
- Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding and decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Analyse costs, margins and operational performance to identify trends and opportunities.
- Assist with month-end close activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop reporting and processes to enhance visibility of financial performance.
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or Qualified.
- Minimum 2 years' experience within management accounting, commercial finance or finance business partnering.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insight.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG or product-based environment would be advantageous.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems would be beneficial.
