Trade Services Officer – Guarantees Are you an experienced professional in trade services with a focus on guarantees? We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established financial institution, playing a key role in their Trade Services team. About the Role As a Trade Services Officer specializing in guarantees, you will ensure the efficient management of guarantee-related processes, including issuance, amendments, and administration. You will work closely with the Senior Trade Services Officer and the Deputy Head of Trade Services to deliver exceptional service in line with strict SLAs. Key Responsibilities: Act as a deputy for the Senior Trade Services Officer in their absence. Process guarantee instructions from customers and partner branches accurately and within agreed timelines. Ensure timely distribution of guarantee copies and collection of related charges. Approve and release transactions, ensuring all regulatory and compliance standards are met. Handle customer queries efficiently, escalating complex issues as needed. Support reconciliation tasks, month-end balancing, and other administrative duties related to guarantees. Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements, including AML and financial crime policies. Execute financial crime prevention controls and perform due diligence on trade transactions. Monitor and report suspicious activity to relevant authorities. Skills and Experience Required: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience in documentary credits and guarantees. Proficient in PC tools, including Excel, Word, and trade processing systems (e.g., Eximbills).
