KennedyPearce are hiring a Finance Assistant for a global leader in the entertainment and sports industry. Reporting directly to the Financial Controllers, this role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance functions, with a broad range of responsibilities requiring accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end journals, audit files, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support revenue recognition processes and prepare revenue invoices.
- Monitor aged debtors and assist with collections of overdue balances.
- Process transactions accurately in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Conduct initial review of employee expenses in Concur, ensuring compliance with policy.
- Assist in financial analysis, reports, and ad hoc projects as needed by Financial Controllers or the Finance Director.
- Support year-end audits, including preparation of documentation and schedules for statutory requirements.
- Create new supplier accounts and validate bank details in Dynamics 365.
- Review and process supplier invoices and prepare payment runs..
- Ensure timely submission and reconciliation of company credit card expenses.
- Prepare weekly payment lists and related journal entries for approval.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Basic accounting qualifications (e.g AAT Level 4, ACCA Applied Knowledge) or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive and motivated approach.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage (training provided).
- An interest in the sports or entertainment sector
£30000 - £35000 per annum + bonus, hybrid working
