A global organisation is seeking a commercially minded Tax Accountant to join its finance team following internal changes. This is a hands-on role with exposure to international tax reporting, working closely with finance colleagues, in-house tax specialists, and external advisers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support corporation tax and indirect tax compliance for UK entities and selected European operations
  • Prepare and review VAT and Intrastat returns using ERP data
  • Assist with group tax reporting, including CbCR and BEPS-related requirements
  • Reconcile and manage tax balances, ensuring timely payments and accurate reporting
  • Provide tax input to monthly reporting, budgeting, and planning processes
  • Support tax-related projects such as process improvements, automation, and digital compliance initiatives
  • Act as a liaison with external tax advisers and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree-level education; accounting or tax qualification (or relevant experience) preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience in finance or accounting
  • Strong Excel and ERP system experience (IFS preferred)
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working across international teams
  • Hybrid working available.
