KennedyPearce are hiring a Transactional Finance Manager for a global consultancy business in Cardiff. Working 5 days per week in the office, you will be responsible for leading and optimising the company's end-to-end transactional finance operations across Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
The role focuses on improving cash flow, strengthening financial controls, enhancing process efficiency, and ensuring effective management of working capital through robust Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading AR and AP performance management in partnership with Treasury, Finance, Procurement, and Shared Service Centre (SSC) teams.
- Driving improvements across O2C and P2P processes to improve cash collection, supplier payment performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Managing collections, disputes, invoice backlogs, unapplied cash, payment exceptions, and other transactional finance risks.
- Delivering accurate working capital reporting, forecasting, KPI analysis, and performance insights to senior stakeholders.
- Acting as the primary liaison between Finance, Treasury, Procurement, Service Line leadership, and SSC teams to drive accountability and process improvement.
- Improving collections effectiveness, dispute resolution, invoice accuracy, PO compliance, and supplier payment predictability.
- Owning transactional finance reporting and dashboards through Power BI, while promoting workflow automation and process standardisation through D365.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives, root-cause analysis, and control enhancements to deliver measurable operational and financial benefits.
Ideal Candidate:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
- Strong experience managing AR, AP, and working capital performance within a transactional finance environment.
- Proven experience improving O2C and P2P processes within shared services, multi-entity, or matrix organisations.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including Power BI, Excel, and ERP systems (preferably D365).
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive change across functions.
- A strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, audit requirements, and process governance.
- Able to work in Cardiff.
