This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Relationship & Branch Manager to take ownership of a key regional branch and drive commercial performance.

Role Purpose

The Relationship & Branch Manager is responsible for delivering profitable growth through value-added sales, portfolio management, and exceptional service to Commercial and SME clients. You will lead the branch team, manage a diverse portfolio, and ensure strong performance across lending, deposits, and new business acquisition. A core part of the role is balancing commercial ambition with early identification of risks to maintain a healthy, sustainable portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Colleague Leadership
    • Lead, coach, and develop Relationship Managers and branch staff.
    • Ensure KPIs are achieved in line with the bank's balanced scorecard.
    • Support Quality Assurance processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
    • Prepare and present lending cases to the Country Credit Committee.
    • Maintain strong diary, workflow, and performance management discipline.
    • Drive employee engagement and uphold the bank's behavioural standards.
  • Customer & Portfolio Management
    • Manage the branch's commercial portfolio in line with TCF guidelines.
    • Build strong client relationships through networking and structured appointments.
    • Generate referrals for Trade Finance, FX, and specialist banking solutions.
    • Achieve targeted levels of new account openings and client onboarding.
  • Commercial Performance
    • Deliver targeted asset and deposit growth for the branch.
    • Negotiate client proposals across lending and deposit products.
    • Submit high-quality proposals to internal credit and onboarding teams.
    • Ensure timely and compliant disbursement of lending facilities.
    • Contribute to the branch's overall P&L performance.
  • Risk & Control
    • Maintain strong control standards across the branch.
    • Identify early warning signs within the portfolio and take proactive action.
    • Ensure all sales and service activity is compliant and aligned with regulatory expectations.
    • Uphold internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in Commercial, SME, or Corporate Banking.
  • Solid credit skills and experience preparing lending proposals.
  • Proven leadership experience within a branch or business unit.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to balance commercial growth with risk management.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder-management capability.
