Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manager – London (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home). Up to £55,000 + benefits. Posted 29 August 2025. Location: London. Reference BBBH40. This is a permanent role with a well-known retail brand that’s loved across the UK, seeking an AP & AR Manager to lead payables and receivables and support a small team.
This is a visible role where you’ll manage both sides of the cashflow equation—ensuring suppliers are paid on time and customer collections are kept on track. You’ll lead and develop a small team (two direct reports) and drive process improvements.
What you\’ll be doing
- Running the Accounts Payable function – invoices, payments, supplier queries, and related activities.
- Overseeing Accounts Receivable & Credit Control – chasing overdue invoices and maintaining cashflow.
- Coaching, supporting, and developing your two direct reports.
- Monitoring aged debt, creditor reports, and overall cashflow.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to make workflows more efficient.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
What we\’re looking for
- Solid experience in both AP and AR/Credit Control with ability to balance processes and results.
- Previous people management experience (or readiness to lead a small team).
- Confident communicator who can build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Retail or consumer sector experience is a bonus but not essential.
- Organised, proactive, and consistently looking for process improvements.
