Kennedy Fox Associates are working with a global logistics and supply chain company operating in over 150 countries. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Business Development Manager to join a fast-paced, growth-oriented logistics provider serving clients across the retail, industrial, and consumer sectors.
This is a pure new business role focused on identifying, targeting, and winning high-value clients in a highly competitive and evolving logistics landscape. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the end-to-end supply chain, a deep understanding of the UK and international logistics market, and a proven ability to develop compelling solutions that meet the needs of complex, high-expectation customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and acquire new clients across the retail, industrial, and consumer goods sectors, focusing on mid to large enterprises with complex or high-volume logistics requirements.
- Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation and prospect qualification through to proposal development, negotiation, and contract signing.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned to aggressive new business targets.
- Understand and interpret sector-specific supply chain challenges to develop tailored, commercially viable logistics solutions.
- Collaborate with operations, solutions design, and implementation teams to ensure accurate, deliverable proposals.
- Maintain strong market awareness, tracking industry shifts, competitor strategies, and client behaviour.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to build awareness and generate leads.
- Consistently deliver against personal new business revenue and margin targets, supporting wider strategic growth initiatives.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B new business development within logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding.
- Proven track record of success in retail, industrial, or consumer sectors, ideally across both domestic and international networks.
- Strong knowledge of logistics services such as road, air, sea freight, warehousing, final mile, and customs clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to win and onboard new clients with contract values typically exceeding £500k.
- Skilled in solution selling, stakeholder engagement, and commercial negotiation.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and confident operating in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
- Able to engage and influence senior decision-makers (e.g., Supply Chain Directors, Logistics Managers, Procurement Heads).
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and reporting dashboards.
