The Role
As Care Home Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the day-to-day management of Redwood House. You will lead a dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of safety, wellbeing, and compliance in line with Care Inspectorate guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Provide strong day-to-day management of the home, promoting a positive, supportive culture for staff and residents.
- Regulatory Excellence: Maintain full compliance with all Care Inspectorate requirements, Scottish legislation, and health and safety standards.
- Team Development: Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, training, SSSC registrations, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets effectively, monitoring occupancy levels and resources to meet financial targets.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build strong, trusting partnerships with residents, relatives, social work departments, and healthcare professionals.

About You
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Leader within a residential care setting.
- Strong working knowledge of Scottish adult social care regulations and Care Inspectorate standards.
- Registered (or eligible to register) with the SSSC.
- A full, clean driving licence (beneficial for community/stakeholder engagement).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a strongly collaborative approach.
Desirable:
- SVQ Level 4 / Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or currently working towards it).
- Experience managing a service with positive Care Inspectorate grades.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care and complex elderly care needs.
