This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping skills who is confident working in a regulated environment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers, completing monthly reconciliations, managing payments, and ensuring compliance with client-money rules. The firm uses Advanced One, so experience with this system is a bonus, though not required. The practice is open to part-time or flexible hours, making this a great opportunity for someone returning to work or balancing parenting commitments. Person Specification:

  • Strong bookkeeping experience (ledgers, reconciliations, journals, VAT).
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment.
  • Able to work independently and manage strict deadlines.
  • Good understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
  • Spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Experience/Advantageous:

  • Previous legal bookkeeping experience.
  • Handling client money (e.g. property, estate agency, professional services).
  • Experience using Advanced One or other legal practice management system.
