Mobile Site Caretaker (MSO) – Kennedy and Sons Structural Solutions

We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Site Caretaker to join our team and provide a comprehensive caretaking service to our residents at NCHA. In this role, you will ensure the security, cleanliness, and upkeep of our properties, enhancing the quality of life for our tenants.

Salary: £16,964 – £19,924 per annum (£24,739 – £29,055 FTE)

Hours: 24 hours per week over four 6-hour days (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri). Flexible hours between 08:30 and 18:30; covers areas including Swadlincote, Mackworth, Littleover, Ripley, Repton, Kegworth, Long Eaton, Eastwood, Beeston, Chilwell, Stapleford, and Strelley.

Responsibilities

  • Report emergency repairs and carry out minor repairs and limited decorative work
  • Liaise with repairs department to progress major repair works and arrange access for contractors
  • Maintain security and upkeep of all properties, reporting concerns promptly
  • Monitor for indications of abandonment, anti-social behaviour, and fly tipping
  • Signpost tenants to appropriate services and sources of advice
  • Monitor the work of cleaning and grounds maintenance contractors
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections and report any risks or repairs required

Requirements

  • Experience in maintenance and repairs; comfortable using tools and equipment
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety rules; background in caretaking or a similar role
  • Tech-savvy enough to handle basic devices (iPads, smartphones) and reporting via email
  • Experience in overseeing contractors and providing feedback
  • Good time management and ability to follow procedures and instructions
