We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our London office supporting the delivery of high-profile projects. You will be responsible for managing the flow, accuracy, and control of all project documentation within an EDMS ensuring design teams and external consultants always have access to the latest approved information. This role is central to project delivery, working closely with architects, BIM teams, engineers, and project managers across multiple disciplines and time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all project documentation within an EDMS system (e.g. Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, Asite)
- Control the issue, revision, and distribution of architectural and engineering drawings
- Ensure document compliance with internal QA standards and project protocols
- Support design workflows aligned with RIBA stages (concept through technical design)
- Coordinate document submissions between internal teams and external consultants
- Maintain accurate document registers, transmittals, and revision logs
- Assist BIM and design teams with information coordination and model/drawing alignment
- Monitor workflows to ensure timely approvals and information release
- Support multi-office collaboration across UK, Europe, and international teams
Required Experience
- Previous experience in document control within architecture, engineering consultancy, fit-out, main contractor, or data centre environments
- Experience with platforms such as:
- Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360
- Aconex
- Asite
- ProjectWise
- SharePoint (advanced level)
- Experience handling technical drawings and design documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience within an architecture or design consultancy
- Understanding of BIM workflows and Revit drawing processes
- Familiarity with RIBA stages and design development lifecycle
- Exposure to large-scale, complex projects
