Technical Manager

Residential Developer | High-Rise RC Frame

📍 East London

💷 £70,000 – £90,000 + package (DOE)

Kenna Recruitment is working with a well-established London-based residential developer delivering high-rise new-build schemes across East London. Due to a strong development pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to take responsibility for the technical delivery of RC frame residential projects from pre-construction through to completion.

This role requires strong UK Building Regulations knowledge, proven design management experience, and a background delivering high-rise residential developments in the UK.

The Role

  • Leading the technical and design delivery of high-rise residential RC frame schemes
  • Managing the design process from planning through construction and handover
  • Coordinating architects, engineers, and specialist consultants
  • Ensuring full compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning conditions, and warranty provider requirements (NHBC / LABC / similar)
  • Managing design risk, buildability, and technical compliance
  • Supporting procurement and construction teams with technical input
  • Reviewing and approving technical drawings, specifications, and design changes

About You

  • Proven experience as a Technical Manager / Design Manager within UK residential development
  • Strong track record delivering high-rise RC frame residential projects
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations and residential standards
  • Experience working client-side for a developer or with a main contractor delivering residential schemes
  • Confident managing consultants and driving the design process
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
