Our client, a well-respected Design & Build firm, is looking to appoint a Technical Designer to join their growing team. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional commercial interiors for both tenants and landlords, with a large proportion of work coming from repeat clients and continued organic growth.
This role offers hybrid working, giving you the flexibility to balance office collaboration with focused work from home.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for producing and delivering high-end technical design packages for commercial fit-out projects, ensuring accuracy, buildability, and design integrity throughout. You’ll work closely with in-house designers, project managers, and site teams to bring concepts to life from initial brief through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive technical drawings and detailed design packs for commercial D&B projects (up to 300 units).
- Work with the creative design team to ensure designs are buildable, compliant, and aligned with client and landlord requirements.
- Liaise with subcontractors, landlords, and clients to coordinate technical details and secure approvals.
- Support continuous improvement in design standards and delivery processes.
About You
- Proven experience as a Technical Designer within a commercial Design & Build environment.
- Strong understanding of technical detailing, building regulations, and materials.
- Confident using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Ability to pair creative ambition with technical accuracy and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
