Technical Coordinator – New Build Residential High-Rise
Location: North London
Sector: Residential – High-Rise / Large-Scale Developments
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join our client on an exciting new-build high-rise residential tower in North London. This is a key position within our technical and design function, supporting the delivery of a major multi‑storey scheme from pre‑construction through to completion.
You will play a central role in coordinating design information, managing consultants, ensuring compliance with project standards, and supporting the technical manager to maintain the smooth flow of technical documentation throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all design and technical information between consultants, subcontractors, and construction teams.
- Review drawings and specifications, ensuring alignment with project requirements, building regulations, and quality standards.
- Support the management of design programmes, tracking deliverables and ensuring timely issuance of information.
- Assist with the resolution of technical queries from site teams and subcontractors.
- Maintain document control processes, ensuring accurate distribution and version management.
- Liaise with the Technical Manager to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities in the design development process.
About You
- Proven experience as a Technical Coordinator (or similar role) on large residential schemes, ideally including high‑rise, multi‑unit developments.
- Background working for a developer or main contractor is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, high‑rise construction methodology, and residential design standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A relevant construction or technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or similar) is required.
