The predicted salary is between 60000 - 75000 Β£ per year.
We are currently working with an established main contractor who have just been appointed on a 40 storey residential new build project in London and are looking for a Senior QS to lead the project with a team beneath them. The project is running for the next 3 years so you are joining the scheme from the early stages and will see it through to final accounts.
Duties will include:
- Lead the commercial management of the new-build project
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
- Procure and commercially manage subcontractor packages
- Prepare valuations, variations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Monitor project costs, risks, and opportunities to maximise profitability
- Produce monthly CVRs and commercial reports
- Manage contractual matters and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships
- Support the project team in delivering programme, cost, and quality objectives
- Mentor junior commercial team members and provide commercial leadership on site
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major RC frame or high-rise construction projects
- Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Experience managing complex subcontract packages and final accounts
- Excellent commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and project teams
