Overview
A leading UK main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Services Manager to lead the building services delivery on a £60m new-build commercial development.
This is a flagship project and a key senior appointment, offering long-term progression and the opportunity to work within a technically strong, well-resourced delivery team.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of all MEP and building services activities from design development through to commissioning and handover.
- Work closely with the Project Director, Construction Manager and design consultants to ensure services are fully coordinated, compliant and delivered to programme.
- Lead MEP design development from Stage 3/4 through construction.
- Manage and coordinate all mechanical, electrical & public health packages.
- Act as the main technical interface between consultants, subcontractors and site teams.
- Review design information, specifications and technical submissions.
- Drive BIM coordination and clash resolution.
- Support procurement and appointment of MEP subcontractors.
- Oversee installation quality, compliance and programme performance.
- Lead commissioning, testing and final handover.
- Manage O&M manuals, certification and client sign-off.
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead TSM on large new-build commercial projects (£40m+).
- Strong main contractor background.
- Excellent technical knowledge of MEP systems.
- Confident managing consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Experienced working within BIM-led environments.
