An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Senior Technical Manager to join one of the UK’s most prominent residential developers. You will take full ownership of the technical delivery of a landmark 150-unit high-rise apartment development in the heart of Battersea, London.
This is a flagship scheme for the business, requiring strong leadership and technical acumen to drive the project through design coordination, technical compliance, and successful construction execution.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Lead all technical and design coordination across RIBA stages 3-6 for a high-rise residential scheme.
- Manage internal and external design consultants (architects, structural and M&E engineers) to ensure efficient delivery.
- Oversee planning condition discharge, Building Regulations, and NHBC/LABC approvals.
- Deliver robust technical solutions for fire safety, MEP integration, and structural complexity in a high-rise setting.
- Provide technical input into procurement and manage key packages related to envelope, core, and fit-out.
- Liaise with construction, commercial, and sales teams to ensure technical alignment throughout the build process.
- Champion best practice, innovation, and compliance across all technical outputs.
🏗️ Requirements
- Proven track record as a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Manager on complex residential projects, ideally high-rise (>12 storeys).
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, and London-specific planning protocols.
- Experienced in leading consultant design teams through design development and technical coordination.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to interface effectively with development, planning, and delivery teams.
- Relevant qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
