The Role:
You will lead the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, ensuring coordination across all disciplines and driving technical excellence on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full design lifecycle across all RIBA stages
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors, particular focus on the M&E subcontractors
- Drive design programme, information release schedules, and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, building regulations, and technical standards
- Oversee design reviews, value engineering, and buildability input
- Work closely with delivery and commercial teams to ensure successful project outcomes
The Project:
- Major new build data centre
- Complex MEP and infrastructure-heavy scheme
About You:
- Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager with a Tier 1 or leading contractor
- Strong background delivering large-scale, technically complex projects (data centres, commercial, or infrastructure preferred)
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of MEP integration and design management processes
