Our Client are a growing main contractor business based in Central London with a group turnover of Β£50million and looking to further grow their business in 2026. As a brand they have over 30 years experience within the industry and specialise in new build projects for retail, leisure and hotel schemes ranging from Β£500k - Β£15million. They are now looking for an Estimator / Senior Estimator to join the business and support their current team which includes a Head of Estimating & 2 Estimators. They are open to someone within 5+ years experience or someone more senior, the key is someone who can look at their own tenders and be self sufficient.
Responsibilities
- Work with pre construction team to prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for new build projects.
- Review and understand project plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and information.
- Maintain a detailed database of historical cost data for future reference.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to better understand project requirements.
- Help prepare and submit tender documents in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with construction costs, materials, and processes is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the construction estimating field.
