Kenna Recruitment is working with a well-established London-based main contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of mixed-use developments, including residential, student accommodation and hotel schemes across the capital. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their pre-construction and delivery team.
The Role
- Managing the design process on mixed-use schemes incorporating residential, student accommodation and hotel elements
- Coordinating architects, consultants, specialist subcontractors and internal teams
- Leading design development from tender stage through construction
- Managing design programmes, design risk and information flow
- Reviewing and managing drawings, specifications and technical submissions
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, planning conditions and employer’s requirements
- Supporting procurement, commercial and construction teams with technical input
- Attending and leading design team and coordination meetings
About You
- Proven experience as a Design Manager working for a UK main contractor
- Strong background delivering mixed-use projects, ideally including:
- Residential
- Student accommodation
- Hotels
